Position Overview

Responsibilities for this position include print reading, machine setup, and processing quality fabricated parts. The primary functions of this position will be operating the Amada turret punch. Training will be available for product and machine specific requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Amada Turret Operator

  • Setup punch/dies according to setup sheet.
  • Load sheet metal on autoloader or by hand
  • Perform first piece and in-process inspections.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform daily PM.
  • Maintain Sharp tooling.
  • Minor programming changes and troubleshooting

Managing Job Flow

  • Follow Defined Process & Procedures
  • Follow Dispatch and Manage Job Priority
  • Ensure Jobs are Completed On-Time

Handling Job Travelers

  • Ensure Proper Part Numbers & Revisions are run.
  • Adhere to Material Requirements
  • Follow Routing Steps
  • Ensure Routing Signatures are complete.
  • Reading and Understanding Prints

Additional Responsibilities may include

Laser

  • Assist with loading and running equipment.
  • Ensure cut quality is maintained.
  • Roller/Flattening
  • Deburr Manually or on TimeSave Machines

Required Education and Experience

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication
  • Amada Turret
  • Rollers
  • Timesavers
  • Deburr
  • Lasers
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Fabrication: 4+ years
  • Turret Operator: 4+ years
  • Tooling and Sheet Loading
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train on new skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
