Position Purpose
The Design Supervisor is part of our Business Development team and is responsible for overseeing our team of Design Engineers. The Design Supervisor will report to Arcamed’s Engineering Manager and work closely with the Print Making and Graphic Design teams.
Salary: Competitive salary will be offered based on experience and skill set. Eligible for company-wide bonus structure.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties

- Identify and set daily and weekly expectations for the Design team to ensure we uphold our internal and external commitments.
- Monitoring adherence to the expectations and holding Design team accountable.
- Ownership of training new employees and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and learning.
- Evaluation of employees and participation in strategic people development.
- Tracking & utilization of the metrics for improvements on both an individual level and as an overall team.
- Responsible for Payroll approval and schedule organization.
- Collaboration with cross-functional supervisors.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager, Engineering Manager, and Human Resources on staffing and resourcing needs.
- Willingness to assist with Design capacity as needed, specifically with strategic customers.
- Establish standardized work to support lean and continuous improvement.
- Participation in CAPA, NCMR, and RMA as necessary.
Required Skills and Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field OR 5 years or more of experience in a Design Engineering or related position.
- At least 2 years of experience with leading teams.
- At least 5 years of experience with Creo or similar CAD software.
- Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
